Throughout training, operative cases should be recorded in the eLogbook.

The trainee supervision codes are as follows:
The respective contribution of the trainee and trainer should be considered at the end of the procedure and the recorded supervision code should reflect this discussion.
Procedure observed by an unscrubbed trainee. The trainee must be present in the operating theatre for at least 70% of the duration of the procedure
The trainer performs the key components of the procedure, the trainee may perform the approach and / or closure of the wound.
The trainee performs the key components of the procedure with the trainer scrubbed. This applies even if the scrubbed trainer is “only assisting”.
The trainee performs the key components of the procedure with the trainer unscrubbed but in the operating theatre for at least 70% of the duration of the procedure.
The trainee completes the key components of the procedure, the trainer is unscrubbed throughout and present for <70% of the duration of the procedure. Training more junior trainee (T) The trainee trains a more junior trainee.
